Global Challenge
Global Challenge is the world's toughest yacht race. Twelve identical 72-foot boats race around the world "the wrong way" - against the prevailing winds and currents. The yachts are equipped with satellite tracking systems, enabling the progress of the race over the next ten months to be tracked using the Race Viewer on the Global Challenge website.

Planetary Visions provided the satellite imagery for the Race Viewer, including global data at a pixel size of 1km, and maps of the approach to each of the seven ports of call at 250 metres.

Global Challenge is organised by Challenge Business International Ltd. The Race Viewer is implemented by MVM Consultants.
