Our latest animation for the European Space Agency uses detailed satellite data from the University of Edinburgh to reveal rapid melting beneath one of Antarctica's floating ice shelves. With melting focused along deep channels on the underside of the shelf, it could break up much sooner than previously thought possible. The animation accompanies reports on the work by The Washington Post and the BBC, helping to explain a complex science story to the general public. learn more...
