We license our library footage for use in a single programme or series, based on the distribution medium and territory:

Non-Broadcast - includes public exhibitions, use within educational institutions, Open University and UK schools television.

Single Territory Broadcast - includes terrestrial and satellite television in a single territory or language, and corporate video.

Worldwide Broadcast - includes terrestrial and satellite television, tv and cinema advertising.

Worldwide All-Media - includes distribution on retail video, DVD, related CDROM and print publications.

All our material is produced to broadcast quality in PAL and archived on Digital Betacam videotape. Recent material is available in anamorphic widescreen 16:9 as well as 4:3 aspect ratio. You can browse lists of material on our website and we can usually supply a VHS compilation containing footage relevant to a particular topic within a few days. You are free to use VHS material in your off-line edit. Once you've finalised your cut, we will supply the material you require for on-line editing on a first-generation Digital Betacam dub.
