Very high resolution satellite images
Highly detailed images are available from satellite systems for specific locations down to one metre or 60cm, subject to archive availability. Air photos are available for most of the UK with a pixel size of 25cm, and down to 12.5 cm for major cities.

The image samples shown here are full-resolution extracts from cloud-free or nearly cloud-free images. Full images are typically several thousand pixels across. Generally speaking, a sensor showing more detail (with a smaller pixel size) will cover a smaller area of ground in each image.
