Paris Climate Conference

Planetary Visions was in Paris for the UN Climate Change Conference over the weekend, helping to explain to the public how the European Space Agency uses satellites to monitor the state of the climate. Our climate data visualisation tool allows the exploration on a virtual globe of climate variables such as greenhouse gases, ocean temperature and soil moisture, based on satellite observations spanning thirty years. It was shown to the public for the first time as part of the Solutions COP21 exhibition at the Grand Palais on the Avenue des Champs-Elysees.
